Due to the hot and humid climate, light clothing is recommended. Cotton or linen is best. In elegant restaurants, bars and discos, men should wear long pants in the evening. The well-known Cabaret Tropicana in particular expects elegant clothing and does not admit shorts on men (not even jeans). Polo shirts are accepted. Ties are not required.
It can get chilly in the evenings in winter (November to March). A light sweater or scarf should be in your luggage! The air conditioning is very strong, so don’t forget your scarf even in summer.
